Message from the Principal

Principal’s message:

The fourth nine weeks has already begun! This is a very important time of the year for our students. As we enter into this last part of our school year, we encourage you to speak to your child(ren) about making smart, SPARKLING choices for himself/herself at school, on the bus, and in the community. We want them to all have successful RLES days-(Respectful, Leaders, Excellers, and Safe.) Please continue to send them to school prepared and 'Dressed for Success' everyday.

Thank you for sending them to school on a regular basis, getting them here on time , and having them stay all day. Attending school regularly also helps to improve their school performance. Our attendance rate for March was 93.22% which is considerably higher than February. Way to go! Let's aim higher for April! We are so proud of all the progress that has occurred this school year. As we work together, I know we will accomplish a great deal more.

This month brings a special opportunity for some Family Fun here at RLES! We hope to see you at our annual 'Spring Fling" on April 7th and Literacy Night on April 12th.

This month also brings a great opportunity for you to support our school district and teachers, which in turns greatly supports your students educational journey. Please go out and vote on April 28th. There will be two propositions on the ballot. One is sales tax and the other is a renewal of property taxes for bonds. The property tax is only a renewal, not a new tax.

Congratulations to our 2017-2018 Teacher of the Year, Ms. Danielle Legendre and our Support Person of the Year, Ms. Yvonne Ockman.
